NOI is located in Jorhat town in a quiet residential neighborhood. One of the two structures in the Centre is a 30 feet x 30 feet dimension room that can be used for gathering purposes. It houses intimate performances and can exist as a black box venue too. Located in the midst of a vegetable garden and made with Bamboo and Hay this Centre has gathered and created a community of learners who work with deep-rooted love for community participation and Art.
It is a space of people for all ages and in all seasons. It became a residential for children and older adults at different seasons and times. Besides weekly classes are held for various practices of Performing and Visual Arts – that are indigenous. It is also a gathering space for wellness, for silences, for re-connection with nature, for circles of sharing, for forums of discussions.
