The NOI Centre is based in Jorhat, Assam. In 2018, two structures were constructed out of bamboo and thatch. One of them is a stilt house (chang ghar) which works as a small kitchen, sitting area and a store cum office. The main NOI building is a 30 feet X 30 feet hall where our activities get space to get shaped.
However, a massive storm on 21st October 2019 resulted in a complete collapse of the big hall. Mango trees and betel nut trees uprooted and fell on the hall, bringing it down.
It is with the generous contribution of these beautiful patrons that we rebuilt the NOI Center in 2020 – a stronger and a more permanent version of the previous one. All of this within a time period of just 2 months! We are so grateful to you for this support.
